Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 10 September 2026
These terms apply to bookings made with Buff Bubbly Butlers (“we”, “us” or “the Company”) for buff-butler entertainment, cocktail masterclasses, life-drawing experiences and related event services. The person making the booking (“you” or “the Client”) confirms that they have authority to book for the group and accepts responsibility for providing these terms to all relevant attendees.
1. Contact details
Email: buffbubblybutlers@gmail.com
Telephone/text: 07923 425992
2. Quotes and bookings
- Website estimates and verbal indications are not binding offers and do not reserve a date.
- Your quotation will set out the service, event date, location, duration, number of contractors and price.
- A booking is confirmed only when availability has been agreed, the required deposit has been received and we have acknowledged confirmation in writing.
- Prices may change before confirmation. Once confirmed, the agreed price will not change unless you request an amendment or provide incorrect or incomplete information that affects the service.
3. Payment
- The deposit amount will be stated in your quotation and is payable to secure the booking.
- The remaining balance must be paid no later than seven days before the event unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- If payment is not received by the due date, we may suspend or cancel the booking after giving reasonable notice.
- You are responsible for checking payment details carefully. We will never notify you of changed bank details without separate verification.
4. Client cancellations
- You must cancel in writing by email or text. Cancellation takes effect when we receive it.
- If you cancel seven days or more before the event, we may retain the deposit to cover the reasonable losses and costs caused by the cancellation.
- If you cancel fewer than seven days before the event, the full booking price may remain payable because contractors, travel and event capacity have been reserved.
- We will take reasonable steps to reduce our losses, including trying to reallocate contractors where practical. We will not retain more than our reasonable loss and will refund any amount that we are not legally entitled to keep.
- Bookings are generally for leisure services on a specific date and may fall within an exception to the usual 14-day cancellation right for distance contracts. If a statutory cancellation right applies to your booking, it takes priority over these terms.
5. Changes requested by you
- Requests to change the date, time, location, duration, service or number of contractors are subject to availability and are not confirmed until accepted in writing.
- Please give at least 30 days’ notice. Changes requested within 30 days may incur reasonable additional costs or an administration charge where stated before the change is accepted.
- Reducing the number of contractors after confirmation may incur a charge of £40 per contractor, reflecting administration and lost work, subject always to our duty to keep losses reasonable.
- If your requested change requires us to replace an allocated contractor, a £40 charge may apply. We will tell you before confirming the change.
- The booked duration cannot be reduced after confirmation. You may ask a contractor to finish early, but this will not normally reduce the price.
6. Changes or cancellation by us
- We may use a suitable replacement contractor where reasonably necessary. A change of individual contractor does not by itself entitle you to cancel if the agreed service can still be provided to a comparable standard.
- If we cannot provide the agreed service, we will offer a reasonable replacement, rescheduling or a refund for the part of the service not provided.
- If we cancel the booking entirely and no acceptable alternative is agreed, we will refund all payments made for that booking.
- We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the booking was made, but nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Arrival and delays
- You must provide accurate access, parking, venue and contact information and ensure someone is available to admit the contractor at the agreed time.
- If a contractor is late, they will notify you where reasonably possible and will make up the booked time where the event schedule permits.
- If our delay prevents delivery of the full service and the time cannot be made up, we will provide an appropriate partial refund for the service not supplied.
- If the event starts late because of you, your guests or the venue, the original finish time and full price will normally remain unchanged.
8. Venue, conduct and safety
- You must obtain the venue or accommodation owner’s permission and ensure the activity is permitted. Any venue restrictions must be disclosed before confirmation.
- You must provide a safe, private and suitable working area and disclose material hazards or access difficulties in advance.
- Our adult entertainment, cocktail-masterclass and male-life-drawing services are for people aged 18 and over. You must ensure that no under-18s participate or are present during adult elements of the service.
- You must tell us before confirmation about relevant allergies, intolerances, disabilities or other reasonable adjustments. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
- Guests must behave respectfully. Contractors may refuse inappropriate requests and may stop the service if they experience harassment, threatening behaviour, unwanted touching, illegal activity or an unsafe environment. No refund will be due where termination is reasonably necessary because of the Client’s or guests’ conduct.
- You and the venue remain responsible for guests’ alcohol consumption. We may refuse to serve alcohol to anyone who is under 18, appears intoxicated or cannot provide acceptable proof of age.
9. Contractors
Individuals delivering services may be self-employed independent contractors. We select contractors with appropriate care and coordinate the booking. Their employment status does not reduce any responsibility or consumer right that the law places on us.
10. Property and personal belongings
You and your guests are responsible for personal belongings and for taking reasonable precautions at the venue. We are responsible for loss or damage caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss caused by guests, the venue, inaccurate information supplied by you, or events outside our reasonable control.
11. Liability
- Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
- For consumers, we provide services with reasonable care and skill and these terms do not affect statutory rights.
- We are not liable for business losses where you book wholly or mainly for private purposes.
12. Events outside reasonable control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, major transport disruption, venue closure, government restrictions or sudden serious illness. We will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and try to provide a replacement contractor, reschedule or agree a fair refund for services not provided, taking account of costs that cannot reasonably be recovered.
13. Photographs and recordings
- Guests may take reasonable photographs or recordings with the contractor’s agreement, provided this does not interfere with the service or breach anyone’s privacy.
- We will not use identifiable photographs or recordings of you or your guests for promotional purposes without appropriate permission.
- You may withdraw consent for future promotional use by contacting us. Withdrawal will not affect lawful use that occurred before withdrawal.
14. Personal information
We use personal information to administer enquiries and bookings, provide services, take payment, manage contractors and meet legal obligations. Further information about how personal data is handled should be read alongside our published privacy information. We do not sell personal information.
15. Complaints
Please raise any problem during the event where possible so we have a reasonable opportunity to put it right. Complaints should then be sent promptly to buffbubblybutlers@gmail.com with the booking name, event date and details. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable time.
16. General terms
- If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
- A delay in enforcing a right does not waive that right.
- No person other than you and us has the right to enforce this agreement, except where the law provides otherwise.
- These terms and the written booking confirmation form the agreement between you and us. Nothing excludes liability for statements made fraudulently.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer right to bring proceedings in another part of the United Kingdom.
By paying the deposit and receiving written booking confirmation, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
